NWRA Credentialing System
NWRA has approximately 850 providers in physical, occupational and speech therapy. Following NCQA standards, NWRA requires that all providers be credentialed before becoming members of the network. Subsequently, those providers are recredentialed in a 36-month cycle beginning with their effective date with NWRA.
NWRA has recently centralized all credentialing processes for both Oregon and Washington providers. This process is administered out of the Oregon Regional Office. With the recent purchase of a sophisticated software system, NWRA is able to track primary sourcing in an efficient and timely way.
NWRA has a variety of delegated credentialing contracts that utilize this process and software. As various payers have come to depend on NWRA's credentialing processes, they are able to immediately attach our clinics and providers to panels and save money by discontinuing the secondary credentialing they were processing internally.
The end result of NWRA's credentialing system is a cleaner, more efficient credentialing process, which serves the needs of all and, most importantly, keeps the panel as up to date as possible and available to patients.
