Quality Assurance and Utilization Management Systems
NWRA physical therapy providers utilize several systems to maintain the highest quality of care and outcomes:
TREATMENT GUIDELINES
Network clinicians and managers consistently use the Therapeutic Associates Treatment Guidelines as benchmarks for the quality and frequency and duration of care. These guidelines establish models for evaluations, functional goals, care plans, treatment intervention and discharge criteria. The use of guidelines produces low-cost, high-quality outcomes based upon proven methods of treatment per diagnosis.
OUTCOMES MONITORING
NWRA's outcome system is TAOS (Therapeutic Associates Outcomes System). Therapeutic Associates (TAI) is a leader in the field of outcome data collection. There are four collection points available to customers, whose patients are being treated at the facility, on a quarterly base. Data can be queried by multiple orientations such as work area, diagnostic category or injury to provide helpful information for management.
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
TAI has implemented a Customer Satisfaction measurement program for the NWRA network. Different from most systems, TAI uses customer satisfaction data as a TAI Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) indicator. This means that data is not only collected but also analyzed with programs implemented to improve outcomes.
